FAQ about Canadian Temporary Resident Visa / Visitor Visas:

Most travellers need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to visit Canada. This requirement is dependent on your nationality, the country that issued your travel document and how you will travel to Canada.

A single-entry visa allows entry to Canada only once for a specific period. In most cases, once you have left Canada after entry with a single-entry visa, you will need a new visa to enter Canada.

A multiple entry visa allows entry many times, for up to six months at a time and may usually be valid for up to 10 years or one month before your passport is due to expire.

All applicants who are eligible for a multiple entry visa will be issued one, at the discretion of a visa officer.

Forms mentioned in the CIC website, photos, valid passport, proof of financial support, ties to home country and in certain cases proof of good health (may require medical exam).
