NOC to TEER Changes 2022

November 14, 2022

On November 16, 2022, IRCC is switching to the 2021 version of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) from the previously used 2016 skill level structure (NOC 0, A, B, C and D). The current NOC will be replaced by a 6-category system representing the training, education, experience and responsibilities (TEER) needed to work in an occupation.

This means the eligibility criteria for all immigration programs will use the new NOC TEER system.
